The Year of Thin Waists and Fat Wallets

So we're decided as a family to do things different this year. We're making some changes. Some big changes to our lives, as my title indicates.

So here is the section about thin waists.

Miss Goofy asked for and we bought Beachbody's Power 90 program. It's an exercise and healthy eating program. So today is day one.

We did the first sculpting workout. It was difficult and well, painful. It will get easier. Part of making these changes is a change in the way we've always thought. That's easier said than done but I am doing it.

The recipes are actually quite good so far. Music Man made eggs this morning. He added grape tomatoes, green onions, salt, pepper, parsley and a little low-fat cheddar cheese. It was wonderful. We each had a piece of toast with a little sugar free jelly. After a couple of hours, when Miss Goofy and I were starting to get hungry, we had smoothies. Berry banana smoothies. They were awesome. We added a scoop of protein powder that you use to make shakes. For lunch we had wonderful salad with lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, cucumber and then a bit of chicken. The dressing was an Asian inspired dressing made with vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, dijon mustard and a bit of pepper. For snack we're having an apple and some yogurt. Dinner is going to be chicken breast marinated in Jamaican jerk sauce, sweet potato fries and a veggie. I am loving this so far! The food has been wonderful. I look forward to dinner. Music Man called me to tell me he got full after 2/3 of his salad. He still had chicken leftover too.

So this is Day 1 of 90. I'll try to keep this updated as I see progress.
