Not Quite A Year Since My Last Post

It's been nearly a year since we lost Grandma. I miss her a lot. It's been a rough year. That said, I'm finally feeling better (I spent from the first week in January to sometime in April quite ill), well mostly better. And now I'm trying to get back into my blogging. I miss it a lot.

That said, I have found a really cool device and website. It's called Fitbit. That's my profile page on Fitbit. I am loving this thing. You wear it as much as possible. You can't wear it in the water, which kind of sucks if you swim a lot but at the same time, you can still track the exercise. It also lets you track your sleep. On the phone app, you can track what you've eaten, and how much water you've had to drink that day. The website lets you see all that you've done, except for the water part for some odd reason.

Today I got my first badge, I hit 5000 steps. I've been trying to get there but my health has not been real good the last year so just as I start to make progress, I get sick and have to take it easy which means since I put the Fitbit app on my phone around August 14th, I've been working to get my steps up to 5000. I was so proud of myself tonight when I was finally able to see the badge. My next one is at 10000 steps. I'm hoping to work up to that this next week. I figure even if I have to walk slow, at least I'm walking.

Now I have to brag about Music Man. Granted he was very ill from January to around the end of April, and that's a huge part of why he was able to lose so much weight but he has lost somewhere between 85 and 100 pounds. He's kind of bouncing in that 15 pound range right now, but considering how much weight he's lost, it's probably a good thing. His body needs time to adapt to his new weight. So aside from not being able to really eat much while he was sick, he also quit drinking sodas. And then we stopped eating fast food as much. Now, he avoids anything with corn syrup. (If only I would follow his lead, LOL!)

So by eating real food, not drinking or eating stuff with corn syrup and actually getting up and moving, he's lost a ton of weight. And we're not done. We want to be smaller and I think we may just be able to do it.

Now, get up and move!
